We are limiting users to 29 minutes instead of 60. HP recomends 60 minutes, but 30 works just fine. Every 10 minutes job runs to kick our inactive users. This means that users will be sitting in the system from 30 to 40 minutes, based on when job will hit to clear them out.
Accordign to HP in Version 10 there is no way to predict number of licenses required or have any meaningful statistics.

they have data when users logged is and logged out. At some point I was exporting data in Excel and calculating duration of session for users and overlapping sessions (if user opens more then one browser). We were calculating number of open sessions at each period of time. It was not complicated, but I do not have file any more to tell you how it is done.
