If you are able to log in QC via excel then you are good to go (See QC Log in via Excel.jpg)
Once in, you can go to the Settings tab and then you can select the path either for Requirements, Test Plan or Test Set. All you need to do is double click the Path and another window will open up for you to select the targeted folder (See Settings_Test Plan Path Window.jpg). Once selected hit apply and then click the download button. Once downloaded, and made your necessary changes, and ready to export it back to QC (Assuming you have installed the excel add-in) ensure that you have clean up your path because when you download the data the very root folder is included e.g. Subject\Test Folder 1\Test Set . Therefore, when exporting back please ensure to delete the root folder in your path. It should look like this e.g. Test Folder 1\Test Set. The quickest way to do this is use the Find and Replace All option in Excel. Once these are cleaned up you are ready to export it to QC.
