Hi,
We have a situation where our users are being assigned to the standard user groups in HP QC. Our company has setup a QC framework, and as part of that framework all users except for the folks assigned to the TDAdmin role are supposed to be using the custom user groups.
My questions are:
1) Is it at all possible to lock down the standard HP QC user groups from being used?
2) If not, is there a way to setup a notification, either point and click or a workflow script solution such that if anyone is assigned to one of the standard user groups in a QC project (TDAdmin, Project Manager, QATester, Developer) that an email notification will go out to the project administrators? The email would need to include the following:
- Name and network user ID of the user that was added to a standard user group
- Name of the standard user group that the user was assigned to
- Name of the QC project where this violation took place
- Name and network user ID of the individual who assigned the user to the standard user group
- Date and time that the user was assigned to the standard user group
Does anyone have any ideas how we might go about accomplishing this?
Take care,
Mark
