we had similar thing in QC 10, just same solution does not work.
When link in test lab is clicked there is a new window pops up. Focus goes to that new window and parent window is not active.
New window is opening outside of viewing area of monitor therefor not visible and it looks like that QC hanged, while it is active, just active window is not visible.
if I kill IE task, that "fantom" window is poping up for brief moment before IE shuts down.
While 2 IE windows open Task Manager shows only one. I could not find the way to move or make visible that "hidden" window.
While testing I di dclear cash and history and did reboot computer. I had all programs shut down and still was not able to see manual run window till I kill task. Then it does pop up for a brief moment, before shutting down IE.
My session remains open for some time, like I am in QC.
We are getting "outbreak" as about 5 people reported issue same day and they can not use test lab module.
One user said that issue comes and goes ...
