Auto Sizing Design Steps

When auto sizing design steps by double clicking on the line after the mouse changes to a double arrow pops up the "Design Step Details" window. Is there a way to prevent this from happening. I don't utilize the "Design Step Details" window and prefer to make changes directly to the Design Steps page. I find myself closing the "Design Step Details" page hundreds of times a day.
