Thanks, I have a much better understanding of the problem now. However, if I change values in After_Post I go against this recommendattion in the "HP ALM Workflow Best Practices" guide:
Do Not Modify After Post
Do not perform any object modification on the After_Post event.
I tried it anyway, but no noticable effect. Maybe I'm missing some "Post" command.
I give up on this, and solve the requirement by reporting instead. After all, it would mean denormalizing, since the same information I try to put in a custom field is avalilable through the subject field.
If not a bug, it is still a flaw that the integer ID of the subject is not available to VBScript, don't yu agree? Because the value is known to ALM, just hidden from this poor test lead trying to automate stuff.
Anyway, thank you.
Tore.
