Can somebody explain? ALM 11.00 patch 15 and admin rights after any windows upgrade

Hello,

We had an user that couldn't run ALM 11 - Patch1 5 on her workstation because her system was updated with IE 11 from IE 8. So we decided to install her back IE 8.

After installing IE 8  now she can't open ALM because it asks for admin rights to launch the components like if it was the first time. I don't understand why do we need to have admin rights to do this for any update the system does sometimes. This has happened with other users in different ocassions, not because of their IE version but sometimes, out of the sudden they can't open ALM and it asks for admin rights. Not very efficient to have this for each user, and have to go with admin rights on every machine to run ALM for the first time. I understand that ALM client installation doesnt require system admin rights but it seems it does anytime randomly after windows updates.

I tried removing the ALM-Client folder on localappdata but of course it didn't work because when trying to register the client again it asks for admin rights. Same thing happened when we did the upgrade from ALM 11 patch 10 to patch 15.

Only solution all the time HP gives is to uninstall and reinstall ALM with admin rights...not very efficient either if we have to do this for multile users at once.

Any advice??
