One of our users received the Instalation window of ALM after some microsoft updates. With the link "Click here to lanch installation" and the active control to install the loader file.
We have been troubleshooting this and can't get the user to go to the login window.
We removed all ALM folders. Removed the ALM with the ALM uninstaller utilitity, register the client with admin rights, and none of these steps worked, user keeps getting the same window.
We tried with local admin on the same workstation and we were able to get to the HP ALM login, but yet the affected, could not.
The local/HP folder of the user affected has nothing after uninstalling ALM. So we copied the ALM client folder and the loader folder from localadmin to the user affected. This way the user could get to the login window, but once the admin rights were removed, the same installation window appeared.
Please some advice, as we have tried several things and notning seem to work, usually uninstalling manually works but not this time. Frustrating.
