Hi,
With ALM 11.5, it is not mandatory to be a local admin of the PC to install the ActiveX client.
If a non admin user opens a session on the PC and install the ActiveX, it will be installed on his own profile.
If another non admin user open a session the the same PC, he would need to install the ActiveX too, and it will be installed on his own profile.
The installation is easy to do, with only 3 clicks by the users. We could send them the step by step procedure.
So, we are wondering if there is any added value in using the HP ALM Client MSI Generator to have the client installed on each PC.
We have 100+ users, and they usually access ALM from their own PC, rarely from shared lab PCs/VM.
Any recommendation , best practice, about this?
Thanks,
