I need to create a report for average resolution time with severity on x-axis. I thought of taking advantage of business views (want to check out the new functionality rather than doing it in excel). However business view graph only allows choosing number of records or sum of a field in configuration. So I've written a query that would return average resolution time / number of records in that group. I.e. sum of resolution time for severity 'Low' will provide the average resolution time for 'Low'.
In business view graph, configuration tab, 'sum of' doesn't display Resolution time field because it is not configured as a numeric field, but as a text field.
My question is
I have caste 'Resolution time' to integer within query, doesn't that count ?
Does 'sum of' considers only those fields that are configured as Numeric in DB or does it consider the 'Numeric' values returned by queries?
