I'm using the Requirements module for the first time in a company that's current focused on Word based requirements documents and the maintenance nightmare that ensues!
Thus I was thinking of using the Document Generator to be able to produce a Word document for the traditional project members that don't want to use/can't use QC.
The project consists of about 4 sub-projects and I didn't want to create 4 separate QC projects, but to keep the 4 within one single QC project. (This is because I need to get each QC project approved and internally costed, and if I ask for 4 I will be drawing attention to myself!)
I can just about see how I can do this by creating top level folders under Requirements, and use Document Generator filters so I can generate 4 separate Word documents when I want to. I can use the Document Generator's favorites to provide 4 different title pages.
But I can't seem to work out what the criterion QC is using for the Document Generator to increment to the next chapter.
I was hoping that the Chapters and Section numbering were generated "after" the filters were applied, so that my 4 documents could be generated starting at Chapter 1, but it seems to increment to the next chapter on the next folder irrespective of whether it is a first child of the root, but a first child of a folder at any lower level.
Has anyone else tried this, or from your greater experience, am I going in the wrong direction.
