Hi,
I am currently tasking with intalling QTP 11 acroos our QA team for automated testing, and it will successfully run on some QA machines, but on others, I experience the "Could not create java virtual machine", when I try to open our Java- based application under test.
We are all installing the same version of QTP 11, with the same patch sets, so I am struggling to see where the issue lie.
When I remove the JAVA_OPTIONS and JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS env variables, the java-based AUT works fine. Currently we have installed jdk/jre 1.6.0.38 (64-bit) on the QA machines in question. When I insert the env variables back as before, I get the same popup message "Cannot create Java Virtual Machine".
Our intention is to test the Java-based AUT with QTP, so we need to be able to execute the Java-based AUT with the environment variables in place, and also be able to successfully invoke QTP 11 with the java add-in in place....
Any assistance would be most welcome....
Best regards,
Brian Coughlan
