Significance of SF_IS_UNDER_VCS field in SYSTEM_FIELD table of QC Database

Hi All,

I want to know what is the purpose of SF_IS_UNDER_VCS in SYSTEM_FIELD table in QC Database. There are some rows with 'Y' and remaining with 'N' in my QC Database.

I want to track the changes made to design steps in my project from database. But the changes are not getting logged into AUDIT_PROPERTIES table.

But in SYSTEM_FIELD table, the SF_IS_UNDER_VCS is marked as 'N' for all row of DESSTEPS table.

Has this SF_IS_UNDER_VCS has some role to play regarding the replication of Design Step changes in AUDIT_PROPERTIES table ?
