The sample code in the API documentation is Visual Basic. The Dim As allows you to cast the type of the variable. In QTP the language is VBScript. VBScript uses Variant as the type for all variables. Conversion functions can be used to cast a variant as a specific Type (i.e. cstr(var) casts the variant variable as a string). I don't know how you would do this for a Type that is defined in a COM object like the OTAClient, and I'm not finding any threads in this forum that cover the topic.
