Re: Admin Rights required when running ALM 11.0

Has the URL for your ALM environment been added to the Trusted Sites (or Intranet Sites) in IE for this user? I don't think missing that would cause this problem, but it is possible. - Not that I am aware of, but I will look in to that.

What are the security settings in IE for the zone that the URL is in? Are you trying to use an SSL configuration? - The Security Setting are set to medium.  As for SSL configuration, I don't know but will see what I can find out.

Do any other users have this problem? Does this user have the problem on any other system? - No other users are having this issue.  We are meeting with her tomorrow to have her try on a different machine as well as us trying on her machine logged in as ourselves.

Have you recently upgraded to ALM 11 or installed an ALM 11 patch on the ALM server? - We have not made any upgrades or applied any patches.  The user was able to log in previously but initially got an error that said she needed to install the active X controls.  We usually fix that issue by manually removing ALM and then reinstalling the ALM client and that is what we did this time as well.

Have you tried clearing the user's IE cache? Have you tried using the ALM Client Uninstall utility to clean the system of all traces of the ALM Client?  We have cleared the cache and as stated above we did do a manual removal of all ALM references following HP's guide.  We have not used the Uninstall Utility but I will try that next.

I will try these suggestions and get back to you.  Thanks for the quick response.
