Re: Product obsolescence of QC Server

Mr Czajkowski,

In looking at your posting, I did some research on what exactly the obsolescence program you refer to is about. The program specifically is for product numbers that were setup when HP acquired Mercury and were needed to migrate customer support contracts to HP systems. With the release of HP Quality Center 11.50, HP Software is reviewing all those product numbers and for a few sets of those, has announced obsolescence and, where applicable, migration to a different product number. The customer letter available from the obsolescence program page on Software Support Online does list the product numbers that are covered by this specific program.

The announcement only is applicable to those customers who have one or more of these product numbers on their support contract. We're contacting the group in HP that facilitates our obsolescence announcements to check if the alert may have been sent to more customers than just the customers with one or more of these product numbers on their support contract. We're also connecting with the Product Managers for HP Quality Center to create a response to the questions/concerns being raised.

We do appreciate you raising this with us and apologize for the concern and inconvenience this is causing you at the moment. With regards to this obsolescence program, if you don't have any of the product mumbers listed in the customer letter on your support contract, the program is not applicable to that contract.

Sincerely,

Rob Slotemaker
